To Start with.. Try to plan your trip over a weekend because there is not much happening in Monsoons.
Friday, Saturday, Sunday are The ‘MUST’ days.
My itinerary was easy and planned around Anjuna,Vagator and Morjim. Other things I planned were cancelled because my parents and my friend joined me in Goa and I had to receive them at the hotel.
Mine was a 5 nights trip. This year I stayed at ‘Antares Beach Club Resort’ and hired an i20 as my ride. Feel free to contact me for upbeat stays, cabs and car rentals in Goa.
Night Scene –
On Friday night I went to Antares restaurant, it was a happening and lit-up evening with professional Russian dancers.
We also went to Thalassa which is located just next to Antares restaurant. In Thalassa you have sheesha as well (Antares has stopped sheesha for the season). There are also 2 authentic fashion stores inside Thalassa. One is an expensive store which has all the designer wears and the other is a budget friendly store. I bought a stylish pair of footwear from the later for INR 1500, a great buy, I must say.
For Saturday night we were recommended ‘That crazy hostel’ in Anjuna, but we decided to visit ‘Curlies’ in Anjuna Beach. I will totally recommend you to visit ‘Curlies’ and ‘Spot On’ in Anjuna and then crash in ‘That crazy hostel’. You will enjoy a lot.
Sunday or Monday you can plan to visit to Casino De Royal(Cruise). Not very expensive. They charge INR 2500 or 3000 for one person. They will board you to the Casino/Cruise, buffet dinner and cocktails, free chips to play. Must Call and check the buffet timings in advance.
Sunday – We went to Piccola Roma in Chapora, we had another option ‘Sakana’ the Japanese restaurant but we chose pizza night. I love there Goan style pizzas. Perfect pizza crust in unique mouthwatering Goan flavours.
Monday, on special recommendation, we went to Soro The Village Pub. The food was quite decent. I loved the Prawn wafers. We played foosball and socialised with few interesting Goans.
On Tuesday, I repeated curlies with my BFF Chandni. Sadly, not much was happening there. Also the happening 1st floor was shut because it was a weekday. But the sight of the sea waves roaring and the lit candle, the feel of a breeze and the soothing sheesha was perfect. We had a feel good dinner there that night. The view was more than amazing.
Morning Scene –
There are a lot of great cafes and restaurants you can visit.
We visited Artjuna Cafe on Sunday morning. They have a nice ambience and awesome desserts, must try their shakes and smoothies.
FYI, Artjuna also has a fashion store, if you are a shopaholic like me.
We had our Lunch at ‘Anand Seafood Restaurant’ – great place, great food! If you are someone who loves seafood, the stuff on their plates is bound to give you a foodgasm. My personal recommendation is the Thali of the Day for INR 150.
Don’t order just that, check out the menu they have great stuff very reasonably priced. Go ahead and unleash the hungry soul in you.
Monday – We woke up early went to the Vagator Beach. Though we had originally planned to visit the Harvalem waterfall, but that didn’t happen as I had to receive my family and friends who arrived that day. Anyways if you have time please visit Harvalem Waterfall, this scenic beauty is just 1hr 20 mins away from Anjuna.
Tuesday morning, we spent the entire day in Morjim. We went to the Marbella beach restaurant. The staff was very courteous and attended us promptly as it was a weekday and they weren’t too busy. We ordered breakfast at the Marbella Beach Resort and went to the heavenly beach (maintained by the resort). I played in water for 2-3 hrs (and time is just a number here, I had the most amazing time in the sea). Tip: After the dip in the sea, don’t forget to take the open shower in Marbela Beach Resort
We were craving for Sheesha and as we walked on the shore, to our right we found Sinq Beach Resort, read below my heartiest appreciation for the concept, quality, and staff.
Jacuzzi !!! This place had a beach facing jacuzzi and they served us mind-blowing pizza, well prepared sheesha and brilliant margaritas in the jacuzzi. I felt like a princess whose wishes were being fulfilled as she blinks.
The staff was so helpful and nice to us. They attended each and every request we made. As I said earlier all our demands were being granted. Checkout the pictures and my travel video to understand my level of happiness
A special tip: Try your best to visit on a weekday or else the Jacuzzi is quite expensive.
We left Morjim at 5pm and reached Antares (beach club, where we were staying). At Antares the pool location is the best (facing the sea). On your way back, grab Booz from ‘Savitri Wines’ in Chapora. What next? Have fun in the pool friends!! Have fun!!
Wednesday Morning we had brunch at the pleasing Artjuna Cafe and left Anjuna at 12noon.
Other Place where I didn’t visit in this trip, but you should visit –
Arambol Lake (I have been earlier)
Sakana – Japanese restaurant
Divar Island 1 day trip
That crazy hostel
W resort for food
Brittos (I have been earlier)
Candolim Deck (I have been earlier)
